Description
Being offered for sale is the vintage/antique RING/BOUND MALLET and/or POST/SEWER MAUL by unknown maker (no visible maker’s mark(s)), from circa the early -to- mid 20th century (best guess…possibly older with replacement phillips-head screws – with all the wormholes and genuine patina, it certainly looks old (19th century even) but those screws say otherwise – you decide, see pics), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. May require a thorough detailing to bring to its full potential. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED or your money back…no questions asked!
Good/G+ vintage condition with moderate -to- severe overall wear from normal use over the years. Multiple splits/minor -to- moderate cracks, dings, dents, stains, scuffs, scratches, etc. throughout. Remains structurally solid but her days of practical use are over. Handle is damaged at head-end – it only extends halfway thru the head. Head is fairly secure to handle but with just one heavy/fast/hard swing, we fear it would fly off. Being offered as a display/decor/collector’s piece only. Features superb patina throughout and has an outstanding overall eye-appeal. See pics.
Measures 29-1/2″ long, overall. Head is 9″ wide (face -to- face) and each of the faces are approx. 5″ diameter. Iron rings are 6-1/4″ diameter. Total weight is 9 lbs. 0.5 oz..
