Being offered for sale is the antique CAST IRON & WOODEN SNATCH BLOCK / BLOCK & TACKLE by unknown maker (no visible maker’s mark(s)), from circa the late 19th or early 20th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. Good/VG antique condition with moderate -to- severe overall wear from normal use and/or exposure to the elements over the past 100+ years. Iron/steel parts are all rusted & pitted. Wood is dry and brittle and has some damage throughout (mostly at bottom, see pics 5-7). Otherwise, NO breaks or repairs. Wheel spins freely and smoothly. Quick release hook functions like-new. Feels ultra strong but due to the deterioration of materials, we DO NOT suggest any practical use and are offering it as a DISPLAY/DECOR piece only. Superbly rich patina throughout. See pics.
